We just spent a WONDERFUL weekend. Such friendly service and beautiful accommodations. It was so serene and quiet -- and gorgeous scenery.
We stayed in the Hideaway cottage with a Jacuzzi tub, and Cristy brought us a delicious chocolate cake upon arrival. They even let us use a golf cart to go down to the river and the gazebo. Wonderful weekend and people.
A relaxing sanctuary! Friends were with us for a few days of birdwatching. Between the hummingbirds, painted buntings, woodpeckers, & titmice, the viewing was thrilling. Every window in the Hummer House allows you to watch all the action at the water features & various types of feeders. Cathy & Dan shared their knowledge of the various birds as we enjoyed the observation room.
The birds of all kinds are fascinating to watch from the observation room or your little cottage.
We have already booked a trip for next year! We hope to see the screech owls next time.

The Hummer House is a quiet, serene place to stay. The Browns are wonderful people to visit with. The so many different birds are amazing to sit and enjoy. One of our top ten places to visit. The wonderful treat that Cathy provides for you are delicious.
Best place for piece and quiet, awesome getaway. Dan and Kathy are amazing host's !!! You can call in on Saturday's during the summer months. As well as stay in the lodgings they have. We've managed to stayed twice over the last couple of years, and its been bliss.
